Oman exports unaffected by collision

Muscat, March 21, 2009

Oil exports from non-Opec producer Oman are unaffected by the collision of two US Navy vessels in the Strait of Hormuz on Friday, its oil minister was quoted as saying.

Mohammad bin Hamad Al-Rumhy said he did not expect any effect from the collision on Omani oil exports because they are carried out through the port of Al-Fahl in Muscat, far away from the strait, the Kuwait state news agency reported. - Reuters
