Over 200 firms for Saudi oil and gas expo

More than 200 exhibitors have already confirmed their participation in an upcoming oil and gas event in Saudi Arabia, which will address the latest issues and hottest topics in the industry.

The exhibitors have booked more than 8,200 sq m of space at the Dhahran International Exhibition Centre, where the second Saudi Arabian Oil and Gas Exhibition (SAOGE) will be take from November 1 to 3.

Confirmed exhibitors represent 25 different countries including two national pavilions for Italy and China. A report dated September 9 said only four available spaces at the exhibition were left.

SAOGE, the largest oil and gas exhibition held in Saudi Arabia, attracts high-level technical experts, key industry professionals, specialists and decision-makers from the petroleum industry from within the kingdom and around the world.

Last year’s inaugural SAOGE brought together more than 5,600 attendees and 207 exhibitors from 28 countries.

“We received highly positive reviews for SAOGE 2008, which confirmed it as an important date on the international oil and gas events calendar,” said Piero Zipoli, president of SAOGE organisers, IES.

“With high calibre speakers and an impressive programme, we are highly optimistic of an even greater turnout this year. SAOGE aims to consistently attract the latest discoveries and best technology in the petroleum industry,” Zipoli added.

Conference sessions will cover topics including where future opportunities lie for oil and gas in the Middle East, as well as the current market position. – TradeArabia News Service
