Riyadh, March 2, 2011

Italian oil services firm Saipem won a contract for offshore work at Saudi Aramco's non-associated gasfields feeding Wasit, industry sources have said.

Oil company Eni which controls Saipem declined to comment when contacted.

Sources could not immediately provide the value of the contract but the overall cost of the programme has been estimated at $6-$8 billion, according to a report in our sister newspaper Gulf Daily News.
