Lutron to launch wireless light controls

Dubai, August 23, 2011

US-based Lutron Electronics, experts in light control, will launch its wireless light control range of products in the Middle East in October.

“We are immensely proud of Lutron’s continued involvement in the Middle East and we are really excited about launching our range of energy efficient wireless solutions here,” said Shadi Kharouf, senior sales manager for Lutron Middle East.

“With major projects including the New Doha international airport and the Abu Dhabi financial centre in Sowwah Square already utilising Lutron Quantum systems and a client roster that includes the likes of Nakheel, Mubadala, Doha land, Aldar and Emaar, we have no doubt that the Middle Eastern market represents an important part of Lutron’s future.”

“As a result, alongside our new product launch, we are delighted to announce the launch of a dedicated Lutron service company in Abu Dhabi and a new sales office in Saudi Arabia,” he added.

The new Middle Eastern wireless solutions include the Radio Powr Savr, which automate the switching and dimming of lights, QS Sensor Module which integrates Lutron wireless sensors and controls with Lutron light and blind control systems and the customisable Grafik Eye QS Wireless for an easy and efficient way to control both electric light and daylight.

The Energi Savr Node (ESN) is a smart module that allows for easy integration of wired and wireless occupancy sensors, daylight sensors, and light controls with digital ballasts, while the Pico wireless control can control one group of lights or blinds with its battery powered wireless control.

Sivoia QS Wireless is Lutron’s solution for total light control allowing precision control of blinds in one room, multiple rooms, or an entire home or building all at the touch of a button.

New to the Middle East and available to dealers now, Lutron’s Home Control+ is an App developed to operate the HomeWorks system, and in a first for the company can be accessed via the Apple iPad, as well as iPhone and iPod Touch.

All zones within the HomeWorks system can be controlled via Home Control+. Features include the ability to edit systems, manage multiple systems as well as individual light and blind zones.

This suite of products will be available to installers during the third quarter of the year, a company statement said. – TradeArabia News Service
