Bahrain highlights energy projects' success

Bahrain's National Oil and Gas Authority (Noga) said its successful implementation and management of crucial energy projects were highlighted during a presentation on Tuesday.

Its excellence team presented a success story of major projects utilising highly accurate models and techniques, selecting the Low-Sulfur Diesel Production Project which was implemented in compliance with Bapco's methodology which was inaugurated in 2007.

They said that by using this method Noga has diversified the kingdom's oil revenues, significantly contributing to the national economy.

'It also increased sustainability of our natural resources in addition to the protection of the environment,' they added.

The Excellence Team reviewed before the arbitration team fundamental issues, including timing, conditions of supply and demand, mechanism of implementation and selected Chevron's model for managing key projects and assessment of implementation and risks as well as economic, technical and environmental revenues of the project for Bahrain.

The presentation also highlighted the potential of using the Chevron model for management and implementation of projects in the oil and gas sector which intends to establish projects worth more than $24 billion.

'This will help boost competitiveness and productivity as well as achieving highest quality in consideration for the least cost which serve Noga to satisfy the values of the Bahrain Centre for Excellence (BCE)in line with the kingdom's Economic Vision 2030.'

The Team praised co-operation between it and BCE and the technical support received from the centre's experts and advisers.-TradeArabia News Service
