HB Rentals launches compact offshore accommodation

Abu Dhabi, November 11, 2013

HB Rentals, a leading accommodation specialist to the oil and gas industry, has launched its new 18 ft four-bed accommodation module to meet client demand for a smaller, lighter accommodation to support the Middle East offshore market.

The system designed for living and working at remote project sites was unveiled at the Adipec 2013, a major oil and gas conference which began yesterday (November 10) in Abu Dhabi.

The module was designed, developed and manufactured at HB Rental’s Aberdeen, UK manufacturing facility within five months, said a statement.

The ability to stack and link differentiates the A60 DNVunit, appealing to clients operating with limited deck space on certain rigs or others who are governed by specific weight restrictions during operations, it said.

Norman Porter, director for the Eastern Hemisphere, said: “By listening and responding to our clients with our internal engineering capabilities, we developed a unit specifically designed to fit their requirements. In the Middle East offshore market, as well as other markets that we serve around the world, speed-to-market is essential.”

Business development manager for the Mena region Rami Miled, who will introduce it to clients, said: “Our new 18ft accommodation module will satisfy a number of different customer needs based on their specific platform requirements where either space or weight is a constraining issue. With this new module, we are helping our customers do more with less. - TradeArabia News Service
