Adnoc hosts meeting for service station projects

Adnoc Distribution recently hosted a kick-off meeting on its strategic ‘Turnkey Solutions for Service Stations’ project as part of its ongoing Smart Service Stations programme.

The meeting was held at St Regis Hotel, Abu Dhabi in the presence of Abdulla Salem Al Dhaheri, CEO, Adnoc Distribution, as well as Salah Baijan, Ambassador of Kuwait to the UAE, Ralf Schroeer, Deputy Ambassador of Germany to the UAE, and Dr Dalia Abu Samra-Rohte, deputy CEO of the German Emirati Council for Industry and Commerce.

The ‘Turnkey Solutions’ project, set to be implemented across the Adnoc Distribution service stations network in the UAE, aims to equip all stations with the sophisticated RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) technology for vehicle identification, as well as an online electronic payment system and an e-commerce portal.

Al Dhaheri said: “Adnoc Distribution is a company with a national impact. Our latest ‘Turnkey Solutions’ project, to be implemented at all Adnoc service stations across the UAE, is a strategic effort in line with the UAE’s smart government strategy and will bring all service station operations under the ‘Smart’ program. Integrating the three basic components of design, empowerment and security, the project will allow us to scale up our capabilities in providing best-in-class services and products to our growing customer base across the country.”

Diyar United Company, a leading ICT enterprise based in Kuwait, as well as German companies Wincor Nixdorf and Hectronic have been contracted to provide integrated solutions in modern forecourt management, payment system, electronic fund transfer terminals, RFID vehicle identification, e-commerce and interactive voice response system at the Adnoc service stations. – TradeArabia News Service
