, April 30, 2014
Prisoners who underwent Sri Lankan traditional dance training perform as prison guards watch during their "graduation ceremony" at Welikada Prison in Colombo on April 30. According to the prison, 26 prisoners went through months of training this year as traditional dancers under a rehabilitation program. The program, which was first introduced in 1982, aims to equip prisoners with skills to allow them to find jobs or join traditional dancing troupes upon their release. Reuters/Dinuka Liyanawatte
