Sony launches new Walkman MP3 players

Dubai, August 11, 2009

Sony Gulf, the regional arm of consumer electronics giant Sony, has launched a new ultra-compact MP3 player featuring quick charge function for extended battery life, bass enhancer and Zappin technology.

The Walkman NWZ-B140F series is available in four new vibrant colours of pink, red, orange and black, with the Walkman NWZ-B142F and NWZ-B143F models offered in 2GB and 4GB capacities respectively.

Trendy and compact, the gadget offers users an array of audio capabilities from MP3 playback to voice and FM recording, as well as options to record speeches or instructions, said a statement.

Weighing just 26grams, the aesthetically designed player features the new Zappin technology developed by Sony. When activated, the technology allows easy browsing by playing just the main portion of each song in the music library.

The interface also enables users to scan their music without viewing the display screen to navigate and find music tracks, allowing them to continue their activities with no interruptions.

Incorporating a bass enhancer, the Walkman B-series does not compromise on sound quality and offers users enhanced music playback. It is outfitted with a convenient bass button that helps to easily select the bass enhancer mode for enjoying music with a more dynamic surround.

The equalizer function lets users select preferred sound modes, pop or rock, according to the genres of their choice.

Designed to experience easy uploading, downloading and playback of audio files, the MP3 player has a direct high speed USB connection and drag-and-drop interface built into the latest Walkman.

It also integrates multiple language support for its menu display.

The MP3 player allows users to enjoy up to 18 hours of non-stop music on a single battery charge. Its 3-minute quick charge function offers audio playback of up to 90 minutes.

The Walkman B-series comes bundled with headphones for convenient plug and play and is available at Jumbo Electronics and major retail consumer electronic stores in the UAE, according to the statement. – TradeArabia News Service
