Jordan to get new upscale mall

Taj Mall is all set to become Amman city’s most advanced and upscale retail and lifestyle destination in Jordan.

The development which consists of a multi purpose facility will also include cinemas, advanced arcade centres, retail outlets, food courts, kids zones, restaurants and cafes in addition to retail stores and a large supermarket.

With more than JD130 million in investments covering a total built up area of 150,000 sqm, Taj Mall will mirror a unique blend of architectural design and innovative facilities, a statement said.

A number of fashion retail, health and beauty brands will premier for the first time in Jordan, under the umbrella of the new mall.

Taj will have Aishti; the high-end Lebanese luxury brands store, H&M, Spinney’s which will be operating a 5,000 sqm supermarket.

Another first to debut brand is SpiceSafar, a leading international brand that blends a boutique, a bakery and a café all in one place. SpiceSafar’s opening at Taj will be its first appearance into the Middle East.

Al  Sultan Centre Group, known for its highly popular quality food and beverage outlets, will also for the first time in Jordan venture into the opening of Wasabi restaurant. Other prominent food outlets that are set to open include Au Bon Pain and Ruby Tuesdays.

The Fakhreldin group will also launch two of their star restaurants, Vinaigrette Salad Bar and the Lebanese Grand Cafe at  Taj’s Terrace.

Taj Mall, owned by Al Tajamouat for Touristic Projects Company, is designed by the wellknown American F + A design consultants.

The ownership structure for Al Tajamouat for Touristic Projects involves foreign participation from a GCC based bank (Unicorn Investment Bank).-TradeArabia News Service
