UAE-based LuLu Group has opened a new 100,000 sq/ft hypermarket in Maysaloon area of Sharjah.

The facility was inaugurated by Shaikh Salem Abdulrahman Al Qassimi, director-general of ruler's court and member of Sharjah ruling family in the presence of Shaikh Mohamed bin Abdulla Al Qassimi and LuLu Group managing director Yusuffali MA.

The new outlet located near the Kuwait Hospital Road is spread across two levels with the food and grocery section on the ground floor and department and lifestyle products on the first floor.

After the inauguration Shaikh Salem and other dignitaries were led on a guided tour of the hypermarket by Yusuffali.

"This is our fourth branch in Sharjah alone and we are extremely happy with the support and patronage we have been receiving from the residents," stated Yusuffali.

"It has been our policy to bring world class shopping as close as possible to the shoppers rather than make them drive long distances. Now with more than 37 sourcing offices worldwide including the UK, Africa and Far East, we are fully equipped to serve the diverse population of this cosmopolitan country," he noted.
