Midway opens new outlet in Bahrain

Manama, April 28, 2014

A new Midway Supermarket has opened in Moda Mall, taking the total number of branches of the retail chain across the kingdom to 12.

Established in 1974, Midway is the retail division of Ali Rashid Al Amin Group.

The group's chief executive for retail and development Khalid Al Amin said BD120,000 ($318,302) had been invested into the development of the supermarket, reported the Gulf Daily News, our sister publication.

"We would like Midway to be present in all areas of Bahrain and we will expand in the near future as part of that drive," he said.

"As a trading operation in Bahrain for 50 years, with a long history like that, we have tried to meet the needs of all our customers and are constantly looking to offer them more convenience," Al Amin added.

The new branch will serve the region's commercial capital, and the World Trade Centre in particular. "Like all Midway branches, this is also a state-of-the-art store, fully equipped with the latest facilites," he said.

The opening of the new branch is a part of the celebration of the group's Golden Jubilee in Bahrain.-TradeArabia News Service
