Two City Centre malls in Oman will debut VOX Cinemas in the sultanate with a total of 17 new screens next month.

The first time appearance of VOX Cinemas in the sultanate is part of Majid Al Futtaim’s major redevelopment investment of OR11.3 million to revamp City Centre malls, the leading shopping and lifestyle destinations in Oman, with a focus on adding brand new family entertainment.

By early June, City Centre Muscat will open a 10-screen VOX Cinemas and by late June, City Centre Qurum will unveil a seven-screen VOX Cinemas.

In mid-July, families can also experience a new Magic Planet attraction at City Centre Qurum.

Residents in Oman will soon be able to revel in a premium cinema experience as VOX Cinemas prepares to open its doors just in time for the summer blockbuster season, said a statement.

With 100 per cent digital screens, VOX Cinemas will bring the latest in digital cinema technology, complete with 3D enabled screens and Dolby 7.1 surround sound providing a realistic movie watching experience, it said.  

VOX Cinemas is also introducing the VOX MAX concept, featuring an impressive 16.6m screen in City Centre Muscat and a 18m mega-screen in City Centre Qurum, offering bright, crisp images. VOX MAX will also feature Dolby Atmos surround sound technology – a first for Oman, delivering a fully immersive entertainment experience, said the statement.
 
With a total of 17 screens, including Standard, VOX MAX and VOX 3D options, VOX Cinemas at City Centre malls in Muscat and Qurum will offer more screens, more movie sessions, and ultimately, more movies to choose from than any other cinema in Oman, it said.
 
Moreover, for those looking for added VIP treatment, VOX Cinemas will also offer movie-goers with more spacious VIP seats and a gourmet-style menu which features crepes, fresh juices, salads, sandwiches, French fries, coffees, muffins and gourmet popcorn to complement the traditional cinema fare, it said. - TradeArabia News Service
