Cathay Pacific is all set to launch daily flights on Bahrain-Hong Kong sector starting from October 1 as part of its efforts to boost its services to the Kingdom.

The airline at present flies thrice a week to Hong Kong via Dubai. ’The Bahrain-Dubai-Hong Kong service will become a daily service returning the same from Hong Kong to Bahrain via Dubai,’ said a Cathay Pacific official. 

Flight CX746 will maintain its current departure time from Bahrain at 14.55pm arriving Hong Kong next day at 06:10am, while the return service CX745 will depart Hong Kong at 23:55pm arriving Bahrain at 05:55am the following day. 

“Bahrain will now enjoy a daily direct service to Hong Kong in both directions. This service enhancement between Bahrain and Hong Kong, amid rising fuel costs, demonstrates Cathay Pacific’s long-term commitment to the Kingdom and the local community,’ Clement Tam, country manager for Bahrain and Saudi Arabia said. 

’Together with Cathay Pacific and our sister airline Dragonair’s extensive network to China and Asia, we will bring Asia one step closer to the community in the Middle East,” he remarked.

’Driven by the continuous rise in fuel prices, we are currently deploying our services to offer capacity on routes where demand is high. At the same time we are also increasing our fares for First and Business Class passengers on most of our routes to and from Hong Kong.’

’The hike in fare will be in the range of three to 15 per cent and will be effective from July 11”, Clement added.

’There will be a slight change in the winter schedule. As per the new schedule, we will have daily flight to Hong Kong from Bahrain and Dubai,’ he added.

The A330 service will operate in a First, Business and Economy configuration on three days of the week, while the other days will operate in Business and Economy.-TradeArabia News Service
