Tickets sale for Bahrain summer fest launched

Manama, June 21, 2010

Tickets for the Bahrain Summer Festival 2010 are now available at six Zain outlets located across the country.

They were due to be available from June 15, but due to technical difficulties there was a slight delay, organisers said yesterday.

Tickets will be sold from today at Zain outlets daily in Seef Mall and City Centre, which are open from 10am to 10pm, as well as the 24-hour outlet at Bahrain International Airport.

They are also available from Zain outlets daily, except Fridays in Riffa Bukhawara and Isa Town Mall from 9am to 9pm as well as Manama from 9am to 8pm.

The festival includes attractions by top performers and singers from across the globe.

It includes performances by Barney and friends, Lord of the Dance and legendary Iranian singer Googoosh.

The event will also feature the participation of Fire of Anatolia from Turkey as well as Arabic puppet shows and a special performance of Ben10.

The ticketed events will take place at the Bahrain International Exhibition and Convention Centre, which can hold up to 2,000 people.

Free children's activities, workshops, games and shows will be held in a tent hosted by Malkiya Village.

The tent has been named Nakhool, which is a symbol for the palm tree as a champion character.

The theme of this year's festival is Children First and the motto that has continued from previous years as 'I love my country...I love my village'.

All events in the Nakhool aimed at children aged from four to 12 years.

The festival is organised by the Culture and Information Ministry and supported by the Bahrain Economic Development Board, Mumtalakat and Zain.

Tickets for all events are priced at BD1, BD5 and BD10.

However, tickets for the Googoosh show are BD75, BD45 and BD20. For more information and for the complete programme, visit www.bahrainsummer.bh, emial bahrainsummer@info.gov.bh or call 80008089.-TradeArabia News Service
