Wataniya adds 10 new European connections

Kuwait, December 8, 2010

Wataniya Airways, Kuwait’s premium airline, has added ten new European connections to its network, as part of its partnership with Austrian Airlines.

The ten new connections added to Wataniya Airways’ route network are: Amsterdam, Berlin, Bologna, Graz, Hamburg, Rome Fiumicino, Lyon, Munich, Nice and Venice.

“We are very pleased to announce the extension of our interline agreement with Austrian Airlines to ten more major connections in Europe, taking our total to 29 cities across the continent,” said Abdulsalam Al Bahar, Wataniya Airways chairman and managing director.

“The benefit to Wataniya Airways guests is that they can now simply check in their baggage at our excusive Sheikh Saad Terminal in Kuwait where it will be automatically routed through to their final European airport arrival destination without having to be rechecked at Vienna.”

“We are committed to delivering our guests the very best service possible and our code sharing agreement with Austrian Airlines is part of this effort.”

The agreement also includes guests travelling from Beirut to Vienna and onwards to other European cities, as well as for those wishing to travel from Vienna to Beirut and the Middle East.
