Dubai Airports appoints 2 Emirati VPs

Dubai, March 7, 2011

Dubai Airports, which owns and manages the operation and development of both of Dubai’s airports, has appointed two Emiratis to executive positions within human resources and development department.

Meshari Al Bannai, who joined the company as head of organisational design in 2010, has been appointed as the vice president of human resources, while Samya Ketait, who has worked through the ranks since joining Dubai Airports in 2000 as an IT trainer, is now the vice president of learning and development.

“’Delivering Competent People Thriving in a Great Place to Work”’ is a pillar of our corporate strategy and paramount to our success as an organisation,” said Jill Nealon, senior vice president of human resources and development unit at Dubai Airports.

“To realise our vision of being the world’s leading airport company we have to invest in our people and build our leadership from within our organisation. These appointments validate the success of this approach and we are confident Samya and Meshari will thrive in their new roles,” Nealon added.

Al Bannai brings with him valuable experience from his successful stints with Emirates Airline, Du, and the Dubai Executive Council.

Ketait brings 19 years of experience in training, human resources and national development. She has been a valuable asset as the head of talent management at Dubai Airports introducing two key leadership development programmes – Taly and Qaa’ed, a statement said. – TradeArabia News Service
