Sabre wins WTA awards for booking systems

Sabre Travel Network, a leading provider of solutions for the travel industry, has been voted as the world's leading computer reservation system (CRS) and global distribution system (GDS) by World Travel Awards 2011.

Sabre Travel Network Middle East chief executive Daniel Naoumovitch accepted the award on behalf of Sabre's global operations at an awards ceremony at Katara Cultural Village, Doha.

Voted as a global leader, Sabre's win marks the culmination of a year-long, global search for the very best travel and tourism brands.

Described by the Wall Street Journal as the Oscars of the travel industry, travel professionals from around the globe took part in the voting process for this award which is scrupulously monitored and independently audited.

'This is our 12th consecutive win,' said Sabre president Greg Webb. 'Voted as the world's leading GDS year-on-year by thousands of travel agents around the globe underscores our dedication to our customers.”
