Swissôtel Makkah to open on Ramadan

Swissôtel Makkah, one of the largest hotels in Saudi Arabia which boasts of 1,487 rooms and suites, is set to open its doors to the public on the first day of Ramadan next month.

A part of luxury hotel company Swissôtel Hotels and Resorts, Swissôtel Makkah marks the group’s first venture in the Middle East. It constitutes to be the largest hotel of Saudi Arabia and the biggest entity of Swissôtel Hotels and Resorts.

With a modern design, complementing the values of the authentic Arabian culture, the new hotel offers breathtaking views of the Grand Mosque and the Holy Kaaba, making it an unforgettable and overwhelming experience in the Islamic Capital of the world, said a senior official.

'With the most convenient location in Makkah, we anticipate the hotel to be the preferred destination not only for pilgrims and Umra performers but also for business travelers, who will be visiting the city,' remarked Meinhard Huck, the president of Swissôtel Hotels & Resorts.

Mohammed Arkobi, the VP and managing director of Fairmont Raffles Hotels International Makkah, said: “We are continuously looking to have the best convenient facility combined with the best services from the very heart of Makkah, and we believe that Swissôtel Makkah will set a new trend of hospitality to our group portfolio. With 1,487 rooms and suites in central Makkah, we look forward to a busy opening.”
 
'A gastronomic delight awaits guests and visitors at the Swissôtel Makkah. The soon to be opened hotel will feature a wide variety of worldwide culinary pleasures to suit every palate,' remarked Arkobi.

'Al Rowad restaurant, a casual all day dinning will feature delicacies from North Africa, Indonesia, Middle East and India while, Café Swiss will present a combination of traditional and international specialties. Besides these, Ajwa restaurant will offer guests an international multi cuisine dining experience,' he stated.
