Bahrain’s leading communications provider Batelco has signed an agreement with Bahrain CAA (Civil Aviation Affairs) for the exclusive selling rights of tickets for next year's Bahrain International Airshow. 

 

The public day tickets will be available at all Batelco Retail Shops for the biennial airshow, which is scheduled to take place at the Sakhir Airbase from January 16 to 18, 2014. 

 

Batelco had recently announced that its chairman Shaikh Hamad bin Abdulla Al Khalifa and Farnborough International Ltd (FIL) chief executive, Shaun Ormrod had signed the sponsorship contract in the presence of Bahrain Minister of Transportation & the acting chief executive of the Economic Development Board and member of the Supreme Organising Committee of BIAS 2014, Kamal bin Ahmed Mohammed, on the sidelines of the Paris Airshow 2013 in France.

 

For BIAS 2014 Public Arena, adult tickets will be priced at BD7 ($18.4) per day with tickets for children, up to 15 years of age, priced at BD3. 

Discount of 5 per cent will be available on the purchase of 20 or more tickets, which can be of any type and for any of the three dates. The tickets are for entrance to the public area which will feature viewing stands and a wide range of entertainment and dining options.

 

“Following the great reviews of the shows in 2010 and 2012, Batelco is delighted to be onboard as a sponsor and ticket reseller for the 2014 event,” remarked Batelco Group general manager Media Relations Ahmed Al Janahi.

Civil Aviation Affairs assistant under secretary (Safety & Security) and BIAS 2014 director Hussain Al Shuail extended appreciation on behalf of the CAA for Batelco’s ongoing support for the international airshow.
