Bahrain’s national carrier Gulf Air has won the ‘Best Online Application for Business and Commerce’ award at the Meet ICT Conference held recently in the kingdom.

The 'Meet ICT' awards recognised companies for having the best ICT products and services in Bahrain, said the organiser in a statement.

Gulf Air’s director of IT Dr Jassim Haji, said: “We are delighted to be recognised by the Meet ICT Excellence award panel for having the best online application for business and commerce in Bahrain.”

“Over the past year, we have been working hard to develop and implement IT solutions and applications that boost our passengers’ convenience while at the same time supporting the airline’s restructuring goal – long-term commercial sustainability,” he stated.

“We have made some notable progress in this regard, specifically through the development of applications that harness the benefits of cloud computing and big data,” he added. - TradeArabia News Service
