TIME expands senior management team

Dubai, March 26, 2014

UAE-based hospitality company, TIME Hotels Management has appointed two new senior corporate executives to their team following its recent announcement of further expansion in Luxor, Qatar, Abu Dhabi and Ajman.

Gaetan Lavoie has joined the team as corporate director of technical services, putting him being in charge of all engineering projects throughout the TIME property portfolio.

A Canadian national who has in Canada and Miami, Lavoie has over 22 years of experience. His global experience includes positions with SNC Lavalin O&M where he was regional director of Operations, Crowne Plaza and ACCOR hotel management.

Lavoie also brings with him the Top Energy Savers Award for BMO, which he won in 2010 for his work in reducing energy usage.

“Dubai is such an exciting and vibrant city, coming to such an international and hospitality driven destination is a fantastic opportunity. I am really motivated to be working for such a reputable and fast expanding company,” said Lavoie.

Also joining the TIME team is Bernard Fantoli, the new corporate director of F&B, who has over 25 years of experience within the food and beverage hospitality industry, with various executive food and beverage positions within well-known hotel brands such as the Marriot, IHG Group and the Hilton.

Fantoli will be managing the food and beverage production and guest service at each of the individual property and will develop a comprehensive upgrade of the F&B product for the overall TIME portfolio.

“With two great new additions to the TIME team, we are looking to continue maintaining, expanding and building both the brand and its high standards. The further developments allow us to move on from successfully positioning ourselves in the local market and move forward with our expansion plans,” said Mohamed Awadalla, CEO, TIME Hotels Management.

TIME, whose portfolio is increasing to eleven hotels and over 1,245 rooms, is expanding within the region due to the high demand and surplus of tourists. – TradeArabia News Service
