Qatar Islamic Bank (QIB) said on Saturday it had signed a contract to fund the construction of a project in Doha at a total cost of QR450 million ($123.7 million) through a lease finance arrangement.

The Samirya Twin Tower, which will be built over a total area of 109,000 sq m in the New Doha district, is expected to be completed in the second half of 2010, the bank said in a statement.-Reuters
