Dubai Islamic Bank (DIB) is emphasising importance of talented locals to the UAE financial services industry at the ongoing Careers UAE 2012 in Dubai.

The event, which opened on March 5 at Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre, is concluding today (March 7).

DIB’s participation at Careers UAE 2012 is a key component of its long-term strategy to meet ambitious Emiratisation targets. The bank has already achieved 100 per cent Emiratisation at branch manager level and, across the organisation, Emiratisation stands at over 46 per cent, a statement said.

“DIB is rightly proud of its Emiratisation achievements and, today, almost half of the bank’s employees are UAE Nationals,” said Obaid Al Shamsi, chief of Human Resources at DIB.

“Events such as Careers UAE 2012 are a key element of DIB’s strategy to recruit talented locals. A major objective for the bank is to increase the participation of Emiratis in the UAE financial services industry, and we look forward to addressing this topic at the event,” he added. – TradeArabia News Service
