Mashreq relaunches entertainment credit card

Dubai, July 29, 2013

UAE-based leading financial institution Mashreq has re-launched the Grand Entertainment Credit Card, its co-branded credit card with Grand Cinemas.

The re-launched card provides a 50 per cent discount on all 2D, 3D and IMAX tickets booked online or at the box office, Mashreq said in a statement.

It said the card is better in terms of experience with dedicated F&B and ticketing counters at Grand Cinema venues and free movie experience vouchers, and offers weekday offers and complimentary invites to movie previews and screenings.

Farhad Dhun Irani, head of Retail Banking, said: “This launch is a true reflection of insight and technology enabling far greater customer engagement and experience, with real value for the targeted segment - one more step forward in driving world class experience in retail banking here in Dubai.”

The card is powered by MasterCard Paypass technology allowing customers to make small-ticket purchases without the need of a signature or PIN, at contactless terminals specially installed at Grand Cinemas.

Grand Cinemas CEO Debbie Stanford Kristiansen, said: “Grand Cinemas is the region’s largest movie theatre chain with ongoing expansion ushering in a significant number of new screens over the next two years as part of its continuous growth strategy."

"We take very seriously our mission to entertain, and to offer moviegoers the very best services, technologies and benefits and are proud to partner with Mashreq in this exciting re-launch of our co-branded Grand Entertainment Credit Card,” she added. - TradeArabia News Service
