Guard shot in Bahrain money exchange robbery bid

MANAMA, November 16, 2014

An Indian security guard working in a money exchange was last night shot three times in his right leg by two masked robbers in Salmabad, Bahrain, according to sources.

He was admitted to the BDF Hospital, said a report in the Gulf Daily News (GDN), our sister newspaper.

Police cordoned off the area near the money exchange branch as forensic experts collected evidence from the crime scene.

Police confirmed that the shooting took place during an attempted robbery and said an investigation had been launched to catch the culprits.

The Ministry of Interior in its Twitter account said police had launched investigation to arrest suspects in the shooting case.

The case has been referred to the Public Prosecution, said the CID director general. - TradeArabia News Service
