KPMG launches operational consulting service

MANAMA, February 3, 2015

KPMG in Bahrain has launched a new 'operations consulting' service offering to help businesses eliminate inefficiencies and increase profits.

The firm said the launch is in response to turbulent times resulting from the recent drop in oil prices, said a report in the Gulf Daily News (GDN), our sister publication.

This is a major concern for businesses across many sectors in the region, putting severe pressure on profit margins.

“We strongly believe this is an opportune time to introduce this cross industry service to Bahrain as it has a direct and tangible impact on businesses' top and bottom-lines,” KPMG in Bahrain head of management consulting Nael Nasr said.

Businesses are looking for ways to adapt to the tough current economic situation and we are bringing our proven experience, global capabilities and benchmarks to Bahrain to help them do this, he added.

The new team will look at both the top and bottom-line of a business and identify ways to increase efficiency and enhance profitability.

KPMG in Bahrain said it has appointed a new partner to lead the service, which Mr Nasr said was a testament to the importance of the offering.

The 'operations consulting' team uses diagnostic systems to identify opportunities for improvements.

These include direct and indirect cost reduction, enhancing productivity of people and equipment, optimising supply chains and improving sales and customer service.

The firm said it offers this service in many larger markets around the globe.

It has had a proven and significant impact on many companies in industries including the public sector, oil and gas, financial services, retail and manufacturing, the company added. - TradeArabia News Service
