ME forum to focus on ‘Connected World’ and ‘Convergence’

Transitioning economy, the competitive global market, and convergence of industries are disrupting enterprises and their way of doing business in the Middle East, according to Frost & Sullivan.

There is a growing need of effective strategies and proven best practices to help companies in the region to transform and drive innovation, leading to growth, it said.

In its sixth year, Frost & Sullivan’s Growth Innovation and Leadership (GIL) 2015: Middle East Global Congress will reconvene on February 16 at Atlantis, The Palm in Dubai, UAE.

This year’s theme will focus on ‘The Connected World’ and ‘Convergence’ as two pivotal trends that are causing some of the greatest change and influencing the way we need to grow and innovate, while meeting the demands of market.

Aroop Zutshi, global president and managing partner, Frost & Sullivan, said: “The economy in the Middle East is at the precipice of change. With diversification into non-oil segments, the region today needs to focus on innovation and convergence, which are the two pillars for sustainable growth.”

The programme will include the latest trends and insights from Frost & Sullivan’s Top 15 - 2015 Global Mega Trends exploring possible scenarios of the future and their implications on transformation of industries, cultures and, societies.

Additional highlights will include a morning and afternoon interactive think tank workshop session where those in attendance will be able to engage with one another, leveraging their collective experiences and thought leadership to create some visionary scenarios of their own.

Meanwhile, the firm will present it’s 2015 Best Practice Awards Reception and Gala, which will recognise ‘Best-in-Class’ organisations.
