Bahrain set to host major global B2B expo

MANAMA, June 1, 2015

The first B2B International Businesswomen’s Exhibition will be held early next year in Bahrain, it was announced.

The event, from March 28 to 30, will be held under the patronage of Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, wife of His Majesty King Hamad and Supreme Council for Women president, at Four Seasons Bahrain Bay, said a report in the Gulf Daily News (GDN), our sister publication.

The organisers are expecting more than 400 delegates and women-run organisations to take part.

“We are looking at the participation of 400 delegates and 6,000 visitors,” said Bahrain Businesswomen’s Society (BBS) president Ahlam Janahi.

“We have been encouraged by our leaders and HRH Princess Sabeeka, who has built an environment of achievement and support for us.

“Bahrain is considered one of the first countries in the region which paid attention to assessing the successes and contributions of businesswomen.

“The event will feature 200 businesses that will take stalls and will be attended by entrepreneurs from Bahrain, Gulf, Arab, East Asian and other countries.

“The exhibition will also feature lectures and workshops,” she said. BBS trade exhibition committee general secretary Feryal Abdulla Nass said this pioneering exhibition will be a good opportunity for businesswomen to learn from the experience of others.

“It will be an ideal opportunity to share experiences, learn about success stories of their counterparts in other countries, discuss challenges they faced and establish commercial and economic co-operation, partnerships and deals with them,” she said. - TradeArabia News Service
