Maximising businesses’ impact through innovation in focus

DUBAI, October 8, 2015

The Dubai Business Women Council (DBWC), the official representative organisation for business women, both professionals and entrepreneurs, hosted its October Network Majlis alongside Joshua Rajkumar from The Sustainability Platform.

The workshop focussed on maximising the positive impact organisations have on society and its bottom line, said a statement.

The highly interactive session, which was designed for c-suite, executives and entrepreneurs focussed on innovation within the organisation, is popular among institutes within Dubai and London for global MBA students as well as for entrepreneurs, it said.

Raja Easa Saleh Al Gurg, president, DBWC, said: “Regardless of the size of any business, corporate social responsibility should be an important factor of its operating model. An organisation can impact society on various levels and as a business owner and proactive supporter of sustainability, it is important to understand how to implement strategic methods internally that then support external community initiatives.”

Rajkumar is a co-founder of The Sustainability Platform, an innovative social impact consultancy that operates out of Dubai, focused on maximising and measuring social impact for CSR programmes, NGOs, SMEs and social enterprises in the Middle East, South Asia, and the Caribbean.
