Khalifa Fund organises event to motivate youth in RAK

ABU DHABI, December 10, 2015

Khalifa Fund for Enterprise Development has organised Tajrebati event in Ras Al Khaimah (RAK) for number of projects funded there, to motivate youths and to spread the culture of innovation and entrepreneurship.
 
Marwan Al Qadi, Khalifa Fund branch manager in RAK gave a brief about Khalifa Fund, its financial and non-financial programmes. 
 
He also spoke about the fund’s goals, which are increasing the awareness for a bigger society segment of the importance of entrepreneurship.
 
“The aim of this event is the transfer of expertise and knowledge among entrepreneurs and promote interactive communication between them. Also, to benefit from their experiences in an effort of Khalifa Fund to spread the culture of entrepreneurship and promote the spirit of entrepreneurship and innovation in various segments of society”, said Al Qadi.
 
He also presented the measures to obtain the fund's services and support mechanisms, which is available for the members. 
 
He encouraged the youths to take advantage of the fund’s services designed to empower Emiratis and improve their standard of living through the provision of concessional financing opportunities to enable them to establish their own businesses to contribute in the development of the local economy.
 
The Khalifa Fund organised in Ras Al Khaimah around 32 training sessions, about 560 emiratis benefited, awareness campaigns reached about 34 campaigns.
 
He explained that the total number of projects benefiting from the financial and non-financial services of the fund in RAK was about 100 projects in various sectors and areas. 
 
The fund's commitment to continue to support projects that can contribute to the economy of Ras Al Khaimahm, he said.
 
The forum included a presentation of projects funded by the Khalifa Fund, where the owners of these projects explained their experience with Khalifa Fund and how to start their own businesses reviewing challenges and explaining how they start up their project until it is operational.
 
They stressed that hard work and effort enabled them to strengthen the position of their companies. In addition, they mentioned, the importance of the support provided by Khalifa Fund for Enterprise Development in order to transform creative ideas into feasible projects.
 
The forum also included a workshop on Idea Sourcing and ways to turn them into successful projects. At the end of the event, discussion was there between speakers and the audience focused on ways to overcome the difficulties and problems encountered in leading the work and ways of successful management of the project. - TradeArabia News Service
