Foreigners buy $1.7b shares at DFM

Foreign investors (non-UAE nationals) bought shares and bonds worth
Dh6.505 billion ($1.7 billion) during last week, Dubai Financial Market (DFM) has said.

The week (January 20-24) saw foreigners snapping up 32.8 per cent of the total value of stocks traded during the period, said a DFM official. 

The value of stocks sold by foreign investors during the same period reached Dh7.844 billion comprising 39.6 per cent of the total value of stocks traded during the period. Net foreign investment on the market reached Dh1.339 billion during the same period, as aggregate sell.

The value of stocks bought by institutional investors during last week reached Dh5.031 billion comprising 25.4 per cent of the total value of stocks traded during the period, he added.

The value of stocks sold by institutional investors during the period reached Dh6.5 billion which constitutes 32.8 per cent of the total value of stocks traded during the period.

Net institutional investment on the market touched Dh1.469 billion during the period. as aggregate sell.-TradeArabia News Service
