Basra to develop $939m residential project

Plans are afoot to develop a massive residential project, comprising more than 5,000 housing units, in Iraqi city of Basra at a cost of $939 million, said a report.
The Basra Investment Commission (BIC) has received an offer from Al-Saqr al-Jareh company to set up a total of 5,280 housing units in the city in addition to 963 villas and malls, Aswat al-Iraq news agency reported.
The mammoth project to come up in Basra, about 590 km south of capital Baghdad, will comprise schools, mosques, centers, clubs and malls.-TradeArabia News Service
