Outdoor summer work ban to boost safety in Bahrain

Manama, June 23, 2014

A ban on outdoor work during the hottest hours of summer will be enforced again this year in Bahrain, it was revealed.

People will not be allowed to work outdoors between noon and 4pm in July and August, Labour Minister Jameel Humaidan said.

This is the eighth year the ban has been in force, said the report in the Gulf Daily News (GDN), our sister publication.

The ministry has conducted a survey and prepared a database on the number of outdoor sites, the minister said.

He urged all private sector companies and institutions to organise their daily working hours. - TradeArabia News Service
