Abu Dhabi Municipality has announced plans to implement an integrated city parking programme on the build-operate-transfer (BOT) investment model.

The programme is part of the UAE capital's citywide smart parking initiative to create integrated car-parking facilities in congested areas, said a statement from the Abu Dhabi Municipality.

The project's standard model will primarily provide high-intensity parking solutions and convenience retail facilities. Some sites will accommodate the full Abu Dhabi Municipality Urban Oasis concept, which adds community and recreational facilities to the standard model.

Investors will be encouraged to consider innovative solutions to maximise parking capacity including automated systems, it added.-TradeArabia News Service
