White .... Jeddah a booming region for construction sector.

Two new trade shows for Saudi construction sector

JEDDAH, May 25, 2015

Leading international exhibition and publishing company dmg events has launched two dedicated trade shows for Saudi Arabia's construction market.

The HVACR Expo Saudi and Stone and Surface Saudi Expo will address the growing demand for stone products and heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration (HVAC&R) related services and technologies in the country’s $732-billion construction sector.

To be held in Jeddah, HVACR Expo Saudi kicks off in January next year while Stone and Surface Saudi Expo will be held in October 2016.

Saudi Arabia remains the GCC’s largest construction market with the second highest use of stone products per capita (2014 Global Marble and Stone Report), utilizing over 45 million sqm of stone products in 2014.

In addition, it is the world’s third largest market for HVAC systems , which is predicted to be worth $1.4 billion in 2015.

An expansive portfolio of multi-billion dollar mega-projects planned or underway in the kingdom has created a strong demand for innovative solutions for the industries directly associated with the construction sector.

Andy White, VP (Construction) for Middle East & Asia, said dmg events had decided to launch the two new trade events in Saudi Arabia after analysing the market requirements for them.

"Jeddah is a booming region for the construction sector and is in need of dedicated events such as HVACR Expo Saudi and Stone and Surface Saudi Expo that can throw the spotlight on specialised solutions," noted White.

"There is currently a market gap due to lack of any dedicated events that can connect buyers from this huge and growing market with global suppliers and dmg events aim to build this space through the two specialized shows," he added.

According to White, HVACR Expo Saudi will address the need for a focused event that brings together global suppliers of the latest and most innovative technologies, services and products in HVACR to Jeddah.

It will feature a comprehensive, free-of-charge training and educational program for visitors developed in partnership with the American Society of Heating, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE).

The program is designed for professionals to access the latest technical information to help them update their knowledge and provide sustainable and innovative solutions.

Part of The Big 5 portfolio of events, Stone and Surface Saudi Expo will be a meeting place for global distributors, manufacturers, architects, interior designers, contractors and real estate developers.

It will exhibit products such as granite, marble slabs, mosaic and natural stone, along with computerized stone cutting devices, quarrying machines, and polishing equipment. In addition, Stone and Surface Saudi Expo will host a conference and several training sessions, providing a highly interactive, knowledge platform for the industry.

"Besides having an extensive experience and knowledge of the Saudi Arabian market, dmg events has a significant database of key buyers that will ensure that the entire industry is fully represented at the inaugural events," explained White.

"Moreover, we have formed solid partnerships with local companies while building The Big 5 brand in Jeddah, enabling us to offer a perfect platform to launch HVACR Expo Saudi and Stone and Surface Saudi Expo in Jeddah," he stated.

"We are upbeat that both events will garner overwhelming response from visitors and exhibitors alike, and that we can make a positive difference to both sectors," added White.-TradeArabia News Service
