Top exhibitors to attend hardware, tools event in Dubai

DUBAI, March 30, 2016

The rise in regional demand for tools and machinery will see exhibitors showcase a wide spectrum of hardware, tools, materials and machinery at the Hardware+Tools Middle East 2016, to be held in May, in Dubai, UAE.

The event will take place from May 23 to 25, at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre.

With market estimates indicating that the UAE market for tools and machinery is worth over Dh10 billion ($2.72 billion), industry representatives are looking at the event - now in its 17th edition - to further increase their footprint across this high-spending marketplace, said a statement.

Spurred on by the continuing growth in the construction sector, demand for hardware, tools and machinery in the region is on the rise, making the region, along with the powerhouse economies of China, India, Brazil, Russia and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (Asean), the main targets of international hardware and tools manufacturers, it added.

The event will feature country pavilions from China, Thailand and Taiwan, while popular features such as the Expert Zone will be back again this year, said the statement.

The exhibition is expected to receive exhibitors from more than 11 countries and a wide spectrum of trade buyers from across the region, keen to interact with and sign deals with leading international manufacturers and suppliers, it stated.

Ahmed Pauwels, CEO of organisers Messe Frankfurt Middle East, said: “The event continues to fill a vital interactive and facilitative role in the ongoing development of the regional hardware and tools market, as the region continues to post encouraging growth rates.

“The event is the only dedicated networking event serving the industry and brings together the majority of trade buyers and professionals engaged in the region’s hardware and tools industries.”

Leading German manufacturer of professional pliers, Knipex, will also be back after its successful debut at the event last year. Ralf Pusch, owner of the brand, said: “We are looking to expand the distribution and awareness of Knipex in the Middle East and Africa (MEA), as an expert supplier of high quality professional pliers for all kinds of industries and applications.”

“We will also be launching new products into the region at the show including Cobra Waterpump pliers, pliers wrench, electrical installation pliers, high performance diagonal cutters, and compact bolt cutters,” he added. – TradeArabia News Service
