Tamdeen selects Yardi solution for Kuwait projects

KUWAIT, July 14, 2016

Kuwait-based Tamdeen Group said its real estate management unit GLA Management is set to deploy Yardi Voyager 7S, a mobile, cloud-based system, as its new lease and property management platform, along with products from the Yardi Commercial Suite.

GLA Management will implement Yardi Voyager to manage the property and financial aspects of its five retail malls and other real estate assets in Kuwait, said a statement from the company.

The company will also implement Yardi Commercial LeasingPad, which combines contact and prospect management with portfolio analytics and business intelligence; Yardi Fixed Assets, which will enable GLA Management to record and monitor multiple asset types together with depreciation; Yardi Inventory Control, which will give the company complete physical and financial control over inventory across multiple locations; and Yardi Inspection, which will help it monitor the fit-out process, with the option to enter data into Yardi Voyager from smartphones or tablets.

Commenting on the move, Chetan Kothari, the chief financial officer, GLA Management, said: "We anticipate that standardising our retail mall operations on Voyager will enable closer, more accurate oversight of a portfolio valued at more than $1.2 billion."

GLA Property Management is a specialist retail real estate firm managing 1.5 million sq ft of retail real estate for the Tamdeen Group in Kuwait.

"It will also help us inculcate better standards across the board and increase the level of services that we can provide our clients," he added.

Neal Gemassmer, vice president - international for Yardi, said: "As our first client based in Kuwait, GLA Management represents a significant milestone for Yardi. The selection further demonstrates that Voyager is fast becoming the preferred platform for retail property operators in the Middle East."

Established in 1984, Yardi is based in California, US, and serves clients worldwide from offices in Australia, Asia, the Middle East, Europe and North America.-TradeArabia News Service
