Honeywell launches new process software solution

DUBAI, August 10, 2016

Honeywell Process Solutions (HPS) has launched Uniformance Suite, a new, fully integrated system of process software solutions that turn plant data into actionable information enabling smart operations.

The Uniformance Suite efficiently collects and stores all types of data for easy retrieval and analysis, predicts and detects events based on underlying patterns and correlations, links process metrics with business key performance indicator (KPIs) for better decision making, and enables IIoT, mobility, cloud, big data, and predictive and enterprise analytics, said a statement from HPS.

Ali Raza, vice president of HPS’ advanced solutions business, said: “The Uniformance Suite is our analytics platform for digital intelligence and a big part of our Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) strategy.”

“The software suite provides powerful data analytics capabilities to enable customers to capture the data they need, visualise trends, collaborate with other users, predict and prevent equipment failures, and act to make informed business decisions,” he added.

“Our customers are challenged to drive a culture of safety, reliability, efficiency and agility in their organisations, more so now than ever before,” said Raza.

“They need access and visibility to real-time performance against business metrics. The suite software solutions are designed to work in unison to give businesses the ability to put their data to work,” he concluded.

As part of the expanded Uniformance Suite, Honeywell has introduced Uniformance Insight, which allows customers to visualise process conditions and investigate events from any web browser. Built on an intuitive platform using thin-client software, there are no downloads or installations required, said a statement.

Uniformance Insight’s ad-hoc analysis capability helps customers find the root cause of issues faster, it said.

Uniformance Insight correlates historian information along with KPIs and an asset database all in one tool, and enables easy collaboration with others. It can increase productivity and reduce investigation time by up to 50 per cent. Users can login to any web browser on their network, including from PCs or tablets, and share trends, dashboards and more via a link, it stated.

“Uniformance Insight’s thin client capability means I can have more team members use this tool without having to install any special software on their computers,” said Heath Case, process control engineer and Uniformance PHD administrator for DuPont Protection Solutions.

He added: “Because I don’t have to go to each user’s PC to roll out these changes, it translates into both cost and time savings.”

With analytics capabilities going well beyond the traditional historian software, the Uniformance Suite marries new solutions with existing proven products to address specific needs of the process industries, including:

•Uniformance PHD: Capture and store relevant real-time process and event data.

•Uniformance Asset Sentinel: Detect and predict risks and opportunities with asset-centric advanced analytics.

•Uniformance KPI: Connect process intelligence to critical business decision-making.

•Uniformance Insight: Visualise information in an asset-centric context and apply powerful analytics.

Honeywell’s IIoT portfolio of technologies is helping manufacturers leverage data to operate their plants more safely and efficiently, it said.

The company’s solutions are also helping reduce unplanned downtime and off-spec products by building IIoT ecosystems that leverage data, advanced analytics and deep domain knowledge, it added. – TradeArabia News Service
