Bin Shafar: District cooling is an ideal cooling solution
that replaces conventional systems.

Empower promotes district cooling in regional projects

DUBAI, November 21, 2016

Emirates Central Cooling Systems Corporation (Empower), world’s largest district cooling services provider, has urged real estate developers participating in the Big 5 exhibition to put district cooling on top of their priority list.

The four-day Big 5 kicked off today (November 21) at the World Trade Centre in Dubai, UAE. The show attracts thousands of exhibitors and trade visitors from around the world, including real estate developers and construction companies.

Empower’s call comes at a time when the company is promoting the benefits of district cooling in conserving environmental resources, supporting green buildings, enhancing cost efficiency in operations and maintenance as well as enhancing quality of chilling services.

“The time has come to move away from conventional chilling services in favour of district cooling that is environmentally friendly and consumes less energy offering quality services to end-users,” said Ahmad Bin Shafar, CEO of Empower.

“The Big 5 exhibition is an ideal platform to highlight district cooling and Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC), and we aim to use it to promote ideal cooling solutions and highlight the innovative features offered by this technology to all stake holders,” added Bin Shafar.

Terming the event as one of the most important international exhibitions in the building materials, construction and infrastructure sectors in the Mena region, Bin Shafar said it is a platform to meet leading investors and developers from around the world.

Empower has successfully emerged as world’s largest district cooling services provider, by adopting latest technologies and best global innovations in this area, which also reflects the company's leading role in the adoption of green solutions in the real estate and construction sector.

“At the event, we see a potential to explore cooperation between the district cooling and contracting companies, and drive home key messages of district cooling for the benefit of all those who want to innovate and become environment-friendly in this vital sector that is linked closely to the district cooling sector,”  added Bin Shafar. – TradeArabia News Service
