Phelps named Crystal Lagoons ambassador

DUBAI, October 5, 2017

Crystal Lagoons, a multinational water innovation company and developer of man-made lagoons, has signed up swimming legend  Michael Phelps as its official global ambassador.

Water is not the only element the decorated swimmer and the multinational water-innovation company have in common, said a statement from the company.

The common cause tying Crystal Lagoons and Phelps is the goal of bringing swimming and water sports activities to communities around the world via Crystal Lagoons’ industry-leading technology that transforms ordinary landscapes into majestic crystal clear lagoons, it stated.

The Florida-based company has developed an innovative concept and technology, patented in 190 countries, allowing for the construction and maintenance of unlimited size bodies of water in crystal clear conditions at low cost.

Crystal Lagoons’ impressive turquoise waters are revolutionizing not only the real estate world but also water and energy production, said a top official.

"It is a great honour for us to have a great sportsman like Phelps coming on board, willing to invest his time in collaborating with the company," remarked Fernando Fischmann, the founder of Crystal Lagoons.

"We believe crystal clear lagoons will help bring swimming and water sports into the 21st century. In addition to the wide range of water sports activities, crystal clear lagoons also provide an inclusive environment for social and leisure activities within a majestic, tropical setting," he added.

In the Middle East, Crystal Lagoons is strengthening its hold on the region with the development of lagoons in projects worth a massive $25 billion.

In Egypt, the company is developing its very first mountain top lagoon in Il Monte Galala in Sokhna, Egypt.

Crystal Lagoons is also developing its first lagoon in Jordan in the Al-Rama region of the country, just 30 minutes from capital, Amman.

Another key market for the company, Saudi Arabia will also soon announce its first lagoons in the coming month, said the company in a statement.

In Dubai, the company is working on the second phase of the lagoon at the Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum City – District One residential development being developed by Meydan Sobha, the joint venture between Meydan Group and Sobha Group.

Once completed, it will be the largest manmade lagoon in the world, measuring more than 36 hectares in size.-TradeArabia News Service
