DED hosts strategic partnership talks

Dubai Economic Department (DED) held a key meeting with the officials of the Strategic Partnerships divisions in the government institutions and discussed ways to strengthen the relationship between the partners and department.

The initiative comes in line with the commitment of Dubai government departments to activate institutional partnerships with each other, said a DED official.

Officials from Dubai Municipality, Land Department, the General Directorate of Dubai Police, Dewa, Dubai Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing, Dubai Civil Defence, Dubai Civil Aviation Authority, Awqaf & Minors Affairs Foundation, Dubai Customs, the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs, Dubai, took part.

The meeting discussed the concept of partnerships, the mechanism for identifying strategic partners, areas to improve relations and exchange of knowledge, and the possibility of holding regular meetings with the partners, explained Ali Habib, director of Customer Care Management.

Omar Abdulrahman Al Saleh, head of Strategic Partnerships, Customer Care Management in DED, presented the definition and types of partnership, steps to identify strategic partners, the need to unify the concept of partnership types, and strategies to strengthen the relationship abetween the partners and DED.

A number of proposals were discussed including the possibility of agreeing on a common definition of partnership, the mechanism to identify partners in the strategic partnerships divisions, the adoption of amendments to some topics presented by the head of Strategic Partnerships, and the possibility of organizing a workshop to discuss and exchange views on the definition of strategic partnership and corporate relationships.

Abdul Bari Mohammed bin Sougat, director of the Corporate Partnership Department, Land Department, confirmed the need to activate the channels of communication directly and to form a working group with all departments in Dubai.

Mosa Al Halian, technical officer in the Corporate Marketing Department, Land Department, said it will work on the corporate partnerships logos for Dubai government departments to be introduced during the next meeting.-TradeArabia News Service
