The Foundation encourages and supports organizations, studies, and academic centers focusing on empowering Saudi women, alleviating poverty, upgrading services provided to the population, and other social infrastructure issues that face the country.

The meeting was attended by Princess Ameerah Al-Taweel, board vice chairwoman, Nada Al Sugair, executive director Finance and Administration, Muna AbuSulayman, former secretary general and Dr Sheikh Ali Al Nashwan, religious advisor.

On her new role, Bakhurji said, "I am truly honored and pray that through my position as secretary general I can provide the leadership and support to take our noble foundation forward to new heights and successes both nationally and globally."
