Batelco CEO Peter Kaliaropoulos will be making a special presentation to University of Bahrain staff and students at a workshop to be held at the Sakhir campus to mark the Career Day to be held later this month.

Batelco, Bahrain’s leading telecommunications operator and one of the major sponsors of education in the Kingdom, is the main sponsor of Career Day which will take place on March 24, 25 and 26, 2008. Batelco is sponsoring the event for the ninth year. The workshop is scheduled for tomorrow (March 12).

Kaliaropoulos said that Batelco is delighted once again to support University of Bahrain Career Day.

“The event is instrumental in guiding students on a successful career path and provides the perfect opportunity for them to find out more about careers in the telecommunications industry as well as the wider job market,” he said.

“The UoB, in organising events such as this, is helping to build a better future for Bahraini generations to come.”

UoB president Dr Ebrahim Janahi thanked Batelco its support. “The continued sponsorship of this event has created a unique relationship between the university and Batelco, which will surely contribute to further boosting mutual co-operation,” said Janahi.
