10,000 benefit from amnesty for illegals in Bahrain

MANAMA, August 27, 2015

Around 2,000 foreigners who have been working illegally in Bahrain have left without facing any penalties, as part of a general amnesty. Another 8,000 expatriates have legalised their status by finding new employers in the last two months, according to the Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA), said a report in the Gulf Daily News (GDN), our sister publication.
