Bahrain to monitor UAE labour initiative

MANAMA, October 2, 2015

Bahrain will monitor the success of a UAE initiative that requires all signed employment offers for expats to be submitted to the government before work permits are issued. The Gulf Daily News (GDN), our sister publication, reported the UAE initiative on Wednesday (September 30), with UAE Labour Minister Saqr Ghobash saying the reforms aimed to ensure foreign recruitment was monitored by the government and complied with the law.
