Dubai Health Authority receives Bahraini delegation

DUBAI, UAE, January 6, 2016

The Dubai Health Authority (DHA) today received a high-level delegation from Bahrain.

The delegation was headed by chairman of Supreme Health Council (SHC) lieutenant-general Dr Shaikh Mohammed bin Abdulla Al Khalifa. Its aim was to get an overview of the medical legislations and health funding model of Dubai and to exchange ideas and best practices in the field of healthcare.

DHA chairman and director general Humaid Al Qatami stated that the exchange of ideas is vital to incorporate best international practises and for the growth and development of the health sector.

The delegation was provided an overview of the national health data directory and a comprehensive update on the health funding system which included the insurance program for Dubai nationals and expatriates.

The topics under the health funding system that were discussed included electronic coding, e-claims system, payer-provider interface, provider accreditation and quality management.

Other topics that were discussed in detail included health data and informatics, health regulation and price regulation of the health sector. – TradeArabia News Service
