Bahrain best Arab country for youth, says UK survey

LONDON, October 22, 2016

Bahrain has been ranked the best country in the Arab world that offers good prospects for young people in a global youth development index compiled by the UK Commonwealth Secretariat.

The wide-ranging survey studied the prospects of young people in opportunities offered in employment, education, health, and political spheres as it examined 18 indicators.

The kingdom has succeeded in topping the Arab world thanks to the efforts and initiatives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and his sons for the aim of advancing Bahraini youth and to ensure them a better future, stated the BNA report.

The kingdom ranked 41st in the survey globally, while Germany topped the table.

Saudi Arabia ranked second in the Arab world and 54th in the world, while Kuwait and Qatar ranked 56th and 75th globally, respectively.
