MANAMA, November 1, 2016

Zain Bahrain, a leading telecoms operator in the kingdom, has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Ministry of Labor and Social Development to collaborate in the area of human resources.

Zain Bahrain and the ministry will work together on a number of projects, including a personality-based aptitude test which the operator will provide to students and job-seekers who wish to assess their strengths and choose suitable career paths.

Minister of Labor and Social Development Jameel bin Mohammad Ali Humaidan said: “Zain Bahrain is widely considered an employer of choice in the Kingdom of Bahrain and we are proud to be working with them on projects that will benefit the Bahraini labor force as a whole. It is a company with a very high Bahrainisation rate, at almost 90 per cent, which has also proven itself to be a pioneer when it comes to the training and development of its employees.”

Zain Bahrain general manager Mohammed Zainalabedin added: “It is a matter of pride for us to be able contribute to the growth of the Bahraini people as a whole in the same way that we have been doing for our employees. Zain Bahrain is first and foremost a people-oriented organization which values talent above all else. We are committed to helping our employees in realising their full potential and taking advantage of the opportunities available.”

The operator has won notable accolades at the Ministry of Labor and Social Development’s Annual Labor Awards ceremony, where Zainalabedin was previously honoured with the Best CEO Award for his leadership in providing a rewarding and empowering work environment for employees.

The company also secured other awards at the same event for overall excellence and achievements by other team members.

The operator has participated in numerous jobs fairs, including a recent one jointly organised by the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs and the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Tourism, during which the company collected resumes for potential employees and conducted personality assessment tests.  – TradeArabia News Service
