Kalium launches new treatment for acne

Dubai, February 27, 2008

Kalium Group of Companies, a pioneer in the field of aesthetic and anti ageing solutions based in Dubai, has launched its relatively painless Aesthera PPx therapy - Isōlaz (Deep Pore PPx Therapy) - in the Middle East.

With this, Kalium has further reinforced its leadership position and become the sole distributors of this system, said an official spokesman.

Powered by Photopneumatic Technology, the Isōlaz helps destroy acne-causing bacteria with a combination of pneumatic energy (vacuum) and laser light to produce a dramatic pore purifying therapy that helps clears acne quickly and effectively.

Aesthera’s Isōlaz (Deep Pore PPx Therapy) offers the broadest indications of any laser or light-based system available in the market today and is FDA-cleared system to treat comedonal and pustular acne.

In addition, the Isōlaz therapy is cleared to treat mild to moderate, inflammatory acne and acne vulgaris, increasing its scope and benefits to a larger number of users.

In addition to acne reduction, a recent clinical study showed that 64 per cent of acne patients who had not responded to oral medications, topicals and traditional lasers in the past had shown a greater than 75 per cent clearance of acne lesions after treatment with the Isōlaz system. After four treatments, an 88 per cent reduction in papular, pustular, comedonal and nodular acne was observed.

“The Isōlaz treatment is the new gold-standard that physicians and consumers should look to when treating acne, as it is literally cleans the pores from the inside out,” said co-founder, president and CEO of Aesthera Corporation Alon Maor.

“In contrast to traditional therapies, because the Isolaz system deep purifies the pores, many patients experience immediate gratification with noticeably clearer skin tone and texture as well as reduced pore size after the first treatment.”

Patients that undergo Isōlaz (Deep Pore PPx Therapy) mostly do not experience side effects commonly associated with lasers and acne treatments, such as redness, peeling or sun sensitivity.

Additionally, immediate improvements are generally seen within 24 to 48 hours of the first Isōlaz treatment including a drying and flattening of the lesion. Finally, Isolaz treatments are fast and can be performed in around 10 minutes, so you can even have them done during your lunch hour!  Isōlaz treatments also do not require pre-treatment and/or topical anesthetics, making them all the more user-friendly.

Along with being cleared for acne, Isōlaz is also FDA cleared for the treatment of vascular and pigmented lesions as well as permanent hair reduction. Aesthera’s Isōlaz  treatment will now be exclusively available at tier-one clinics in the region through Kalium Group of Companies, the sole distributors of the product in the region. – TradeArabia News Service
